World’s Shortest St. Patricks Day Parade Names Duck Dynasty’s Mountain Man “Official Starter’

Those who head to Hot Springs for the First Ever 11th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17 will have the opportunity to hear from a man of slow words.

Mountain Man from the hit reality show “Duck Dynasty” was named the official starter for the event that takes place the on renowned Bridge Street in Downtown Hot Springs.

“We thought it would be a nice touch to have a guy be the official starter who talks so slowly that the parade could be over by the time he tells the crowd his name,” Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs, said in a press release. “Mountain Man fits the bill perfectly.”

The famous parade is the 98-foot length of Bridge Street, which is the world’s shortest everyday-use street.

Actor/comedian Jim Belushi will serve as the parade’s grand marshal.

Mountain Man does not have a leading role in the show, but makes many memorable appearances as the “slow-talking air-conditioning repariman/radio host, who is a neeighbor to the Robinsons…”

Robinsons or Robertsons.. who cares??? Their show is the Jersey Shore of the South… They are just confirming the misconception that Southerns are a bunch of dumb hicks.

Any show that shows family values, honest business practices, love of family, and is not afraid to pray on TV is a Five Star show in my book. He will be given a friendly welcome come parade day.

Dumb enough to make a ton of money, teach their children good work ethic, have family values, and know how to have fun without getting arrested? I think you’re the dumb one.
