Woman Flees Walmart in Hot Springs Village after Attempted Theft

A complaint has been filed by Loss Prevention Officers at Walmart in Hot Springs Village after an attempted theft.

According to the report, C. Hopper came across  a female at the service desk making a odd return. After she was  denied the return she exits the store and gets into the passenger side of a gray four door car.  After about fifteen minutes she re-enters the store through the exit door and walks between the registers and grabs a blue reusable Walmart sack and proceeds into the store.

C. Hopper then started surveillance on her. After a few minutes, he noticed her placing items into her bag and then she proceeds to the registers where she bypasses them not paying for the items.

After she passes the last point of sale C. Hopper identified himself as Walmart Asset Protection at which time she drops the bag with the stolen items and takes off running.  She then gets into the same vehicle.

Walmart will prosecute.
