Woman Arrested For Cashing Forged Checks At kroger And Hot Topix

Monique Jonville Honeycutt, 2310 Henry Street, was arrested on three counts of Forgery, following a joint investigation between the Garland County Sheriff’s Office and the Hot Springs Police Department.

According to the report filed with the Police Department, on 6/6/13 Terry Soper, filed a report with the GCSO indicating that an unknown person had stolen five checks from her residence and had passed three of them on 6/1/313.

Two of the checks were cashed at Kroger at 3340 Central Avenue in the amounts of $121.74, and $17.97, and another at Hot Topix in the Hot Springs Mall in the amount of $127.62.

A joint effort between Detective Lampinen with the Hot Springs Police Department and Investigator Severs with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office positively identified the suspect through surveillance video from Kroger showed the Honeycutt passing one of the checks.

When questioned, Honeycutt admitted stealing and passing he checks.
