Woman Allegedly Has Seizure, Drives Van Into Hot Springs Business (Watch Video)

A Hot Springs business received heavy damage after being struck by a wayward car Friday morning. Shortly after 11 o’clock, a Kia Sedona minivan approached the stop sign at the intersection of Hobson and Summer Streets. According to witnesses, the female driver began having a seizure and the van went straight across the street and impacted the west facing wall of Hot Springs Auto Repair, 415 Summer. The entire brick wall was knocked down and the van entered a room. The female was transported to Mercy Hospital by Lifenet with unknown injuries.
No one at the business was injured. An employee said the owner of Hot Springs Auto Repair was in the process of selling the business and that the room hit by the van had recently been remodeled for a new business planing to move in at the location.
Hot Springs Fire Engine 1 and Rescue Truck 12 assisted at the scene. Ernie’s Wrecker Service removed the van from the location.
