Garland County Sheriff’s Department Locates Stolen Vehicle

A stolen Jeep Wrangler was recovered by Garland County Deputies on Monday.

According to the report, Sgt. David Martineau was en route to 9323 South Ridgeway to investigate a suspicious vehicle.  According to the report, two vehicles came by accompanied by a white Jeep. The Jeep was taken into the woods and left behind and the suspects left.

Martineau arrived and found the vehicle.  Deputy Martineau could not locate the vehicle identification number. There had been modifications to the vehicle.

Martineau received a picture of the missing vehicle and identified it as the vehicle in the woods.

The complainant, who was out of town at the time sent a friend to act on his behalf.

The complainant’s friend arrived and and they drove the Jeep from the woods.

The Jeep’s wheels and other modifications had occurred.

    So are there suspects? Did GCSD dust for prints? Is there any sort of active investigation? Considering there were several Jeeps stolen in the HS/GC area in a matter of two or three days I would think this would be fairly high priority for local law enforcement.
