Hot Springs detectives have released the name of the victim from Wednesday morning`s stabbing as Anthony R. Ward (8-29-70) of Hot Springs.
Wards body was found around 6:20 a.m. wednesday morning by a couple walking on the greenway.
The investigation into this homicide is still ongoing.
Police are investigating the death of a man who appears to have been stabbed.
The body of a white man in his 40′s was found around 6:20 this morning lying in an area of the Hot Springs Greenway between Hollywood Avenue and Chelsea Street.
Police say the man appeared to have suffered a stab wound to the upper body.
That neighborhood is between Oaklawn Park and the Hot Springs Country Club.
Detectives were talking to people who live in the area and collecting evidence from the scene.

On 7-10-13, at approximately 6:20 a.m., Officers from the Hot Springs Police Department responded to the Hot Springs Greenway in reference to a deceased person.
Once on scene, officers observed a deceased white male in his 40`s lying on the greenway between Hollywood and Chelsea St. Detectives as well as the Garland County Coroner was on scene.
The deceased was found to have a stab wound to the upper body. Detectives were speaking with residents in the area as well as collecting evidence from the scene.
