Arkadelphia Man is One Of Two Killed In Car Accidents On Christmas Day

Arkansas State Police say two people were killed in separate traffic crashes on Christmas Day.

One crash occurred Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 270 in Montgomery County in western Arkansas. A preliminary report says 66-year-old Hugh Brown of Arkadelphia lost control of his car while negotiating a curve and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. State police say Brown was killed in the crash, while one adult and two children in the second vehicle were injured.

A second crash occurred Wednesday night in Warren. State police say 56-year-old Karen Henry of Warren died when a truck crossed the center line of the road and crashed head-on into her vehicle.

My condolences for your loss. And my heartfelt thanks to God that my children and I are still alive after this scary and tragic end to our Christmas day. I have such mixed feelings; sorrow for the man who hit us, and joy to be alive and home with my two kids!!!!
