More people have died in Arkansas as a result of the flu, according to Kerry Krell with the Arkansas Dept. of Health. Krell said Wednesday that seven people have died from influenza since September, the start of the 2013-2014 flu season. This is up from five deaths which were reported earlier in the week. Doctor visits have spiked in the last month and health authorities say these deaths indicate this year’s flu season is matching the record numbers seen in recent years.
