18th Judicial District East Drug Task Force Agents Recover Meth and Guns During Morning Raid

 

This morning (July 18th)  at approximatley 6:00AM the 18th Judicial District East Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at 231 Cooper St in Hot Springs.

The residence had been under investigation as a place where narcotics were being distributed.

The Hot Springs Police Department SWAT Team was utilized for entry and secured all occupants.

Located inside the residence were; Joshua Bowie, B/M DOB: 9-10-1993, two 17 year old juveniles and a two year old juvenile.

Agents conducted a search of the property and located; one Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun, one Beretta .9mm handgun, two sets of digital scales and approximatley 19 grams of suspected “Ice” methamphetamines.

A nuisance case was filed against the property as a location where narcotics were being distributed and/or stored and the residence was boarded up pending a court hearing.

The Department of Human Services was contacted and a child abuse case was opened. Future charges are pending further investigation by the 18th Judicial District DTF and the Arkansas State Police in reference to the juveniles.

 

The 18th Judicial District East Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Garland County Sheriff’s Department, the Hot Springs Police Department and the Arkansas State Police.

    By the sounds of it. He should be facing Poss w/ intent. Simultaneous Poss of drugs and firearms. If he is renting than can be charged with unauthorized use of another persons property to facilitate a crime. And with a two year old present should be stung up on child abuse charges.
